Ask yourself these questions:
On FIS regulation GS skis do I feel like a driver (rather than a passenger)?
Can I easily change my turn radius without skidding?
Can I look down a course and know ‘I can carve every gate’?
Can I ski icy slopes with confidence?
Can I service my skis properly (and in under 15 minutes)?
If the answer is ‘no’ to any of these questions, then the chances are that you’re just waiting for a miracle to happen if you want to pass the Eurotest.

There are a few core free skiing movements that all good GS skiers make. Perfecting these movements and being able to perform them under pressure is the only way to ski fast on race day.
Without the core free skiing movements skills, you can train hard, however your performance will plateau. Just getting out there and bashing gates isn’t the answer. You may be lucky enough to stumble across some racing solutions… or you may
not. Time and time again SPD coaches see people trying to shave 10ths of seconds from their performance by targeting the wrong areas to develop.
Discover what moves all good racers share, then practice them until you are able to perform them without thinking. Then go pass the Eurotest without a miracle.
